Match the fitting to the piping requirement
A socket-weld fitting needs to match the pipe and the full assembly, not just the nominal size. Include the fitting type, nominal pipe size, schedule or wall, alloy, pressure requirement and connection details. When the fitting must join existing pipe or equipment, include the mating dimensions and any drawing notes that control the fit.
Include the details that make the quote usable
State the quantity, delivery location and needed-by date with the specification. A marked-up drawing is especially useful for a replacement part, a nonstandard configuration or a package with related pipe, flanges or fittings. Providing the complete requirement up front gives the sales team a clear basis for reviewing the material path.
